According to my dad (G7LFC) I was in last months Radcom for winning the young person’s award in sos radio week I won an anytone 4 meter radio (courtesy of the Snowdonia Radio Company) that is in my dad’s car because one day soon he will show me how to use it whilst me, my mum, my dad and my brother go out for a drive somewhere.

I got a Wouxun KG-679E when I passed my test on the 7th November and when I got my licence on the 11th November the first thing I did when I got home from School was to go on my new Wouxun the first contact I had was my brother and then my dad and then my mum but my first real contact was with G4WPS when my dad was at work so I text him saying that I had contacted my first QSL who wasn’t in my family. also I have found out that the Wouxun KG-679E has a Commercial Radio and you can save Channel so if you want to come back to the channel then you can do.I also persuaded G4WPS to buy a Wouxun KG-679E and he did and he has told me that it is great and Thankyou for me persuading him to get it but I suggest you get it (if you are licenced that way you can have more fun) but there is one down side If your battery is nearly flat or you are charing it up from being flat you can’t transmit I was speaking to somebody when I was on Holiday and my battery went flat so I lost that person and it wasn’t good!!! but that’s all from me so see you later bye from Becca

My dad (Derek G7LFC) bought the Kenwood TM-707 for the whole family a couple of weeks ago and it is fab it is the only radio I use now. I do have a Wouxun KG-679E but I will talk about that later but back to the Kenwood TM-707 I can get to any of the channels that I want or need and I can change the power etc. also the screen is great I have not been on a radio that much to be honest. I love that more than any other Radio well maybe not more than the Wouxun because… well, you’ll just have to find out in the next post because that’s all from me now see you in the next post from Becca
